Ubuntu [server] 19.10 is out and installing Docker isn’t as straight forward as one would hope.
First, off the guide at Docker, https://docs.docker.com/install/linux/docker-ce/ubuntu/#install-using-the-repository is kinda correct, I will show you the trick that will make Docker install just fine.
The trick is to trick the installer to think that you’re on an older version of Ubuntu than you are…
So when you come to the step where you install the repository use this line instead:
sudo add-apt-repository \ "deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \ disco \ stable"
This line do tell the repo that you’re on the older version Disco. No, don’t panic there is nothing to panic about after this Docker install just fine.
